Quilted relief is a 3 dimensional tactile artwork which uses digital fabrication techniques to redefine traditional crafts such as quilting and felting. The multi-colored artwork aims to create a fun and lively addition to the 8th floor common space engaging and drawing passerby into the space. At the same time, the natural acoustical properties of the felt material used for the piece dampen the ambient noise from the public space of the kitchen, improving the quality of the surrounding work spaces.
