Derek Haffar
Derek is an interdisciplinary artist, with a fascination for deep exploration. He has many years of experience molding and casting with any material he could pack into a mold. Lately, he has been growing and manipulating root structures, mycelium and other materials. His goal is to share his unique techniques and protocols with students to explore and experiment with. He received his MFA from Bard College, and is part time faculty at Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute.
